This could get ugly.

I have two guys and a very sturdy 3x3 dolly.

Old Dominion will ship it to my Plant, I can use a fork lift to get it in to the less than ideal Uhaul Cube Van.

Then I have to get it out of that at home.

I do not have access to a Cherry Picker or any Machinery.

I have two choices.

Load it as is and deal with that at home.

Break it open and load it feet out into the van and get it out that way.

2 600# columns is not scary, I can twist and jerk 500# of material in a 55 gallon drum, so with the length of the columns as leverage, I believe I'll be ok.

How much better of an idea is feet out but loose parts vs bundled together and opposing columns for a 16 mile drive ?

Buy an engine hoist from HF.

I just used my hoist last week to lift 800lb (each) palm trees off my truck. You'll find other uses.

Congrats on the lift.

+1 on getting cherry picker.

SOLUTION: Google the following
. . . . . . . cherry picker site:craigslist.org

Unless you live in BFE there is nearly 100% certainty that you can buy used cherry picker in one day from CL.

Got it.

Trailer = No vehicles with a hitch.

Box truck was very economical.

Time for garage toys, now that the exterior is done.

Atlas PV-9P.

I drove a Uhaul to work. I got free shipping by having it sent to my workplace (Business Address, Has Truck Dock).

Here it is in the trailer.

Out..

Unloading it with a borrowed Skid Steer. My first time driving one. I did very well thank you!

Thank goodness I went with 8' tall doors!

Done.

Jmod face..

I still have electrical, insulation, natural gas, drywall and doors to do.

I may be 4-5 weeks out of being finished, with maybe a whole week of NO GARAGE TALKING OR WORKING. I mean damn..We've been at this since April.

I'm not broke and I did see a lot local.

I just found a free solution.

And I just can't buy one...more...thing.

We're not finished building and I need to refocus of spark, gas, walls and doors.
