After 41 years without a garage; wrenching in an open carport, I finally got a garage. Completed in October, 2011; and placing cabinets etc. since then. Not huge, about 24 X 26, but it is 'heaven'. Trade off was an enlarged master bedroom with 'walk-in' and ensuite according to SWMBO.
Storage solution from earlier posts are part of the pics. No room for a lift, and with ten ' ceiling, will not add upper storage space. At my age, do not want to climb a ladder to retreive a 50# bin of parts.
I will keep lurking for more tips. This is a fantastic source of info.
