Has anyone scored a screaming deal lately? Below is thing I stubbled across this week. The 10" table saw, scroll saw, disc sander and the tables came from my wifes grandfather who had to be put in a assited living home..$150

Than went yesterday to pick up a 4 bolt main 350 and while I was there the guy offered me an old soda machine and bucket seats "seats not garage related but.." for nothing, just take 'em... and it works!!!

Thats sounds like a great plan, but these seats were grabbed up by the wife for the Blazer we're building for her. Maybe the next set I get I can do that with.

It's not a tool but I just scored a restaraunt quality stainless steel prep table 7ft. X 2ft for $150. It is in great shape and has a full ength lower shelf as well. The top is about 3in thick with 3 support channels that run the entire length. I think it will make an excellent workbench.

Nah, just trying to hit that magic number. Whatever it may be. :bounce:

I've been following .50 ammo for years always knowing that I would own a rifle. I finally broke down and picked one up and wouldn't you know it. The company that was handling all of the military's surplus ammo went out of business. Ammo prices have gone through the roof in the past 4 months assuming you can find it. I feel very lucky to have found it.

A+ deal on the .50 cal.

Not real recent, but I got an unused KD 3/4" ratchet from a buddy for $20. I see them most places for ~$100. He bought a bunch of tools, started diesel mechanic school then decided he didn't like it. Sold his tools for whatever he could get and lost a bunch of money.

I also bought a Winchester single barrel 12 gauge fired less than 40 times from him for $20. Nice guy, but makes many bad decisions.

I was in Sears today to pick up my tool box and found Knipex Alligator pliers on clearance $5.95 for the 10" and $6.95 for the 7". This seems to be an in store thing- not on the web site.

Theres a great inside flea market about 45 minutes from where I live. I frequented it quiet a bit this winter. In the summer they have a lot of people set up on the outside as well. I've picked up a bunch of Craftsman wrenches to fill in some sizes I needed and for extras. I average giving 3.00 a piece for them and they're in like new to new condition. I got a brand new 1-1/16" and 1-1/8" one trip for 8.00 each.

Sat. I made a trip out of town and stopped at a really small outside flea market. Got an 11/16 USA made Williams wrench for $1.00. I dug it out of a rusty box of tools that were mostly junk. Asked the guy what he wanted for it. He looked at it and said that the 11/16 size was odd and wouldn't fit much of anything so he'd take a dollar for it.:lol_hitti . I also bought 2 sets of Kobalt 3 piece plier sets for 4.25 new in the package. It had a small needle nose, linesman style, and regular pliers in the set. Nothing heavy duty but handy to have. I gave my Son one set and threw the other in my tool chest.
