As stated-one each Wright 18900 tool/wrench--looks like brake tool-could be also airplane tool?

The 962 socket ex. tool is made by Herbrand and also has a D stamped on hex drive flatts

Look over on GG or TT as I posted the same questions there with the pics--this computer terminal is giving me problems!
Since you picqued my interest would you be interested in swapping those two matco rats for that 4 piece matco stubby mm wrench set that we discussed previously? I understand if you just want to sell them-JTIWA??? Dan:headscrat

Almost looks like a truck rim wrench, but way too small. I can't find anything in the 1937 or 1941 catalogs with that part number.

Some questions:
- What is the opening in the socket end? Square or hex? And what size?
- What is the size of the hex (external drive)? And if it has an opening, what is the size of that?
- What is the Herbrand brand marking - fancy script over Fremont? or big blocky letters?

So the female service opening in the socket end is 7/16", the male hex nut is 1/2", and it took a 1/4" tommy bar. Interesting. It has the pre-war logo. And that extremely raised forged-in model number looks antique. I have never seen anything like that or the "D" on the hex nut. We gotta look through some old Herbrand ads. The oldest catalog I know of in the public domain is 1937, as I said upthread. This could be much older than that.

Yeah, that was my thought on it also-early tool with the deep black dipped/sprayed paint that was used like on some early A & T tools-I'll have to dig deeper into my old tools box to see if I have another one with the cross brace!!!
