I have a few full sets of Cman, snap on, blackhawk and some other specaltiy sets that mostly collect dust. I use them whenever I get the chance but not being a pro wrench turner they see little use. I still feel the need to puck up any wrench I see and buy it. This is the mass I have collected in a months time.

930, that board is going to look awesome when its full! (looks cool empty!)

Nate, where are you picking up your wrenches? Is there any criteria that your wrenches have to meet?

I don't really look for wrenches, mostly ratchets, but i still end up with a lot of wrenches.

It's a sickness none of us can cure. I'm waiting for a Proto board, do you have any candidates?:)

I threw around the idea of buying a few boards I have seen posted here but I would never be able to take the time to fill it... I would buy every wrench off ebay in 2 or 3 days just to not look at blank spots.... I have plenty of proto wrenches send me a PM sometime and Ill see what I have.

I have 2 drawers in one of my boxes of 'extra' wrenches. I dont actively seek them out, but the seem to be bundled with other tools I want. They are good to have around in case you need to modify a tool. They are also good for trading fodder to help complete some of my other sets.

I can't seem to not buy snap-on wrenches; especially for $1! Cheap Snap-on is just a curse! :) It just gets worse; one thing I do is just stick to certain brands; I have felt that I have had a good day when I pass by tools and end up with just a few of the things and not tons more to cram into my full tool box.. boy how times have changed! :) Cheap tools are evil I tell you! :)

I bought a 8" adjustable wrench that said blue point by snap on for $1.00 while the cman right next to it was $6.00

An addiction is something that prevents you from doing the things you need or want to do.

Buying tools is fun, and sounds like you don't mind selling a few either, so its double fun.

I don't really understand my tool collecting, some is just getting things I need, but other times I see a tool I don't have much interest in, in poor condition, and that somehow gets me looking for a nice one. ;)

If you can bring yourself to organize them and make notes of the ones you're missing, that should help it feel more like a meaningful collection instead of hoarding. My weakness is cheap adjustable wrenches, because they're so darn useful for the things I do. I'm also trying to fill out my box wrench styles (stubby, long, ratcheting, etc). I wish I could find $1 snap on tools.

Mostly garage sales and flea markets.
