There is no chain it's on a spindle but I'll lube it again, the noise seemed to appear overnight

Screw drives are notorious for that!
The aluminum housing gets worn and allows too much slop as it’s turning. 10yrs about the lifespan!

BTDT! Love belt drives- super quiet compared to chain and screw drives.

Is the opener or the door?

Sounds like the opener, look it over well. You might want to lower the door and run the opener back and forth and see what it sounds like. there may be something failing in the opener. Spindle? Screw drive opener? does it open smoothly? Perhaps the drive to the screw is stripping or the "nut" on the guide that lifts the door is getting bad.

Let’s see how long it takes for the screw drive to sling the “lube” out and it starts screaming again-

That’s how I knew it was time for a new opener-
Small wads of grease were showing up on the floor and on the vehicles.

If it's a coil spring, don't forget t give that a shot of silicone or similar. Made a HUGE difference on mine.

My Garage Door expert suggested years ago to put on a pair of old gloves and rub motor oil on the coil springs. Been working for 40 years plus!

I lube every moving part of my doors and belt drive opener twice a year. My neighbors think I'm nuts but my doors are so quiet you can't hear them inside the house and nothing ever breaks.

I love how the OP had the time to take a video and post it on YouTube but didn't have 15 seconds to clean off the 5 pounds of spiderwebs and **** on his opener. Glad it worked out for you, now clean up that mess.
