I’m finishing off a 13x15 room over my garage into man cave room
The walls will be covered with 1/2 log manufactured wood boards
Called “D” logs about 2 1/2 inch thick.
How do I mount and extend the switches and receptacles?
I thought making a 5/4 board or 1x3 strips cutting out for electrical boxes but how to attach to the walls and then cut the D logs to make a tight fit to the boxes?

I'd install 4 sq boxes with mounting brackets on them to the studs, then use deep plaster rings to extend them where they need to be.
It's been a long time since I've worked around that kind of ginish, but I'm thinking you'll also need to do a little work on the "logs" to make covers sit flat depending on which direction you mount them.

I had 1/2 wall done, the installer made 2"x6" boxes out of pine but I'd use the Log home link, alot of work to make from scratch.
