I have four 4" cans in a garage door overhang 11' off ground. Saw these lights at Home Depot today will they work for this application? Or is there something else I should use . I have no clue on lighting. This is the overhang. And the trim and light kit

The 2700k sylvania LEDs were harsh on my eyes. I returned mine and went with some cree equivalent and have been very pleased so far! Ive got about 20 throughout the inside of my house. Mine are 5/6".

I bought some indoor led lights from HD last year for about $16 a piece for my kitchen. They work great, dim, and install in a normal 4in cieling box. Zero clearance, they run cool. You can touch them when they've been on all day.

The Web indicates indoor only and I don't think it's wet location rated. This one is wet rated, but I'm not sure if it is rated for outdoor locations.

These are 5-6 retrofit kits dimmable from Menards. I have 18 of them around my house. 4000K

It's been 1.5 years and no issues - on at dusk off at 11:pm, then on at 6:00am and off at sunset. Dimmed to lowest setting.

I used to (2) 6" LED's on my 12' wide door and put them on a dimmer (glad I did the dimmer). Two 6" cans are extremely bright, you might go with (3) spaced equally across the space, in any event definitely put them on a dimmer switch. How is the build coming along?

It's coming along slow but sure. It's all sided now. Waiting for garage doors, couple more weeks. I put 4 , 4" cans in overhang I just have to pick up LED's for them.

. I installed these cans. Anyone know what the one sticky sided foam strip is for?
