Recessed light boxes and leds

My house has the older 10 in. recessed light boxes with side bulb mounts and I was.thinking about going to leds.
The net has seemly conflicting info on using leds in recessed fixtures . So I thought I would ask the expert here.

Make sure the LED bulb is rated for use in a totally enclosed fixture, it will say on the package

Went to H D read some boxes and bought a few.
