So I have found a few threads talking about this, but they all go all over the place and brands/directions/wiring all differ.

I have a 60 ft long 2 story (2800 sq ft) that I am replacing all the soffit on from wood to vinyl, since I'm wrapping the rest of the trim and trying to go maintenance free. I have been looking at the "rich houses" that all have recessed lighting in their soffit and looks real classy. The goal is to almost wash my house with light, I am by no means trying to light up my front yard, just the front of the house to look good at night.

Being to lowes and HD, I have toyed around with all the lights, and the Halo lights come as a nice package but only in 6 in and apparently even everyone online has trouble with their clips for installing. I am only looking at remodel cans, and IC/non IC doesn't matter.

I saw some people post landscape lighting in their soffit, and it simply just isn't the look I'm going for nor do I want to deal with a transformer and all that.

If anyone has any advice or suggestions I would appreciate it.
Spacing is planned at 6' for 10 total pieces. Leaning toward 4 inch so as not to look too obnoxious. If you could post the brand, size, and/or spacing, along with a picture it would really really help.

Also if anyone has them, do you use the open trims or the closed trims that go in the shower. I'm only considering the closed so bugs and critters don't get in there at night, I get them inside almost all my lights on the exterior and in my garage.

Thanks
