Decided to put recessed lights in my garage before christmas, and a electrical outlet under my eve of my house. This made it easier, and cleaner hanging christmas lights. 0cb4e3056d5dd2a3bf8c9e4c5b3bba16.jpgc6011f9bd509c7a02e67c9a0214550e9.jpg

Looks great... especially the idea of putting an electrical box for holiday lights... Question, did you have to put some kind of "hat" on top of the cans as a fire retardant?

I used 36 6" can with less in my 30 x 32 x 12 woodshop. I used airtight IC rated cans as the shop has central air. Pic is in the early stage before flooring and trim out. I didn't want the fluorescent lights to be hanging down and getting in the way when moving sheets of plywood.

the plywood won't hit those big honkin ceiling fans that are hanging down? :headscrat:bounce:

EDIT: I see the fans are higher than the lights would hang so disregard my smart *** statement.

nice looking job though, both of you guys!
