I am planning a 24x40 detached garage. I want to incorporate a flush to floor mid-rise scissors lift. Currently I am considering a Bendpak MD-6XP and a Titan MRL-6000. I understand neither was designed to be recessed but see that others have successfully recessed this type of lift. I have a couple of issues and would appreciate advice.`
1. Are there other brands I should be considering based on your experience? The Bendpak is the better known company. Price is less for Titan. The multiple wheels on Titan seem a better design.
2. I have had some difficulty getting exact dimensions needed to specify pit, especially depth with arms and low pads installed. I plan to cover pit with three sections of 3/4 plywood on a recessed lip around pit so flush with floor.`
3. I plan to use the lift also as an adjustable height work surface. The more locking positions of Titan is an advantage.
Thanks for any advice.
