Recessed Outlet?

I've been searching but I'm not finding what I need.

I have a weather station display that is powered by a wall wart. I would like a recessed outlet to plug the wall wart into and put the display over it.

So far, the one's I'm finding are not deep enough. There are some where the outlet is sideways...that might work except that outlet is not 90 deg to the wall....it's less than that which means the wall wart might stick out.

This wall has about 8" of space behind it....so space is not an issue.

Suggestions?

Look for a outlet they sell for flat screen tvs. It will have an outlet and a cable spot and shaped like a v sort of. It's the only thing I can think of that's deeper than the standard recessed outlet

They used to be called a clock outlet. I've used them several times where there was no room for the plug to stick out. I've had electrical supply shop guys not know what they are, you may have to ask for the old guy, they know what they are.

I don't know that a clock receptacle will work for a wall wart, but that was my first thought too.

OP may have to just build a recess in the wall?

Habitat store has several of the clock receptacles here. It would have to be a rather small wall wart, something like the new USB phone charger cubes to fit. Keep thinking I should buy one for when I might need it, but cannot think of a good need for them.

I was hoping to find a variation of something like this. My weather display is big enough that it will easily hide a 4x4 box

You are in southern California. What do you need a weather display for? The only kinds of weather you have are sunny, burning, mudslides, and earthquakes.:eyecrazy: Forget the weather center, put a nice painting on the wall.

We get wind too......

But it's nice to get up....look at the display and say to myself "Another wonderful day to ride my m/c to work."
