I was thinking of getting one of these

Ebay cordless worklight

I like the cordless idea and it can do 240 or 12 volt. Not sure if the leds go all the way around though, hard to tell from pics, anyone tried one?

Just had another look, looks like leds on one side only, wonder if that will be a pain...

Ahh, Ive never had one of these... thats why Im looking for one. Ive used the incandesant lightbulb type till now, I thought these types were just a flouro tube, I like the idea of these, and Ive got a "thing" for LED's...

There was a thread called something like "whats your favorite worklite" check it out.

Anyway, The problem with LED worklights is that the light is extremely intense. Sometimes it can get into your eyes and make it dfficult to work. I have used all 3, and if I could, id take one of each bulb style, but I cant afford it. Ill probably be going with a flourescent one, but the LED style is very handy, as it lights up EVERYTHING. Check out Central tools... htey make precison measuring equipment and Worklights... Most is made in USA.

gents,

The best $30 I've ever spent was on a "headlamp" called A Petzel. it's a 3 LED light that comes with an elastic headband. two AAA batteries last like 100 hours.

I've put one of these on to work under/around a car and never realized just how well they work untill I turn it off at midnight and it's pitch black! They're also great for camping, night hiking, etc...

search www.REI.com for more choices.

That's cool. This one works relatively the same. It's a little dorky, but then so am I.

I have both a "headlight" (love it) and Craftsman's rechargable LED work light. I doubt I'll ever use my incandescent work light again. The LED's are just too darn convenient and REALLY light up the work area.

Huh... not sure. But you could probably sell the idea to Victoria's Secret for millions!
