Where is everyone sourcing reclaimed wood for walls in their mancaves ?
Just not impresses with the big box store stuff so far.

If the wood is hard like oak or hickory, you’ll have to pre-drill for nails. When they fastened it, it was green and soft. They wouldn’t have bothered to dry it for 2 years, either:The local HFH and another called Rebuilding Center sometimes have larger lots of 1 x 4 or 1 x 6 - usually Western Red Cedar.
I even saw a cart load of 4/4 Eastern hard maple there at $2/BF.
And occasionally I stumble into something like this there:

I found this this afternoon at my local nonprofit recycling center - at $10 for about 8 BF total in 4/4 thick, 8" wide, and of varying lengths: I thought perhaps it was a dark-stained mahogany, as it was open grain, but the wide grain patterns on the flats that you see above suggested...www.garagejournal.com
