Does any one on here have any pictures of their Garage, or loft or any rooms that they have utilized reclaimed wood to do interior siding? I have started a project where I am siding my loft in barnwood from a dilapidated barn on the farm. So far it looks nice but I would like to see every one else's. Post up some pictures.

LOL, weird. I'm re-making my garage. I'm going from "super modern" back to "old world".

I actually got my inspiration from our local Bass Pro Shop. They have a restaurant inside it, and it's exactly what I'm after.

I do have some images saved from doing google searches. I will dig them up and post them for you.

I'm doing the outside walls of my bathroom and office with fence boards I got for free from CL. Pressure washed and trimmed.

Check out gearbanger's thread in general garage discussion also. He's doing the entire inside of his shop.

I built a desk for my wife’s floral design shop out of old pallets. A quick tip for counter top – IKEA – personally I hate the place, but they have a large selection and they are cheap.

I did the inside of my pole barn with 80 year old tobacco barn wood. My neighbor was replacing it with metal and gave it to me if I hauled it off. SCORE!

Tinbender are there any issues with using treated lumber for interior purposes? Im assuming reclaimed fencing would be treated,( even if it was 20+ years ago). The fencing does look great. Please forgive my ignorance, i really dont know.

Thank you. All I did was pull the nails out. There are gaps and holes and some dirt here and there but that just adds to the character. The best part is the backside of the wood is solid black from 60 years of smoking tobacco I'm the barn. It gives my shop a very pleasant smell.

If you're ignorant, then so am I. I doesn't "look" treated but I really don't know. As far as any issues, I don't know about that either. Hope this helps:D.

OK I will help yal out most fence panels are not treated wood . The posts that support them that go in the ground are but the panels themselves are not treated so its safe to use .

I have seen both, however, the older the wood is, the less likely it is that it was treated. Really though, there will be no way to tell. As the wood ages it all looks the same.

Everything ive read says it really doesnt matter if you use treated lumber on interior projects. Just dont cook with itor use it as food prep surface.

Here is my shop. I have the entire shop done with that except for one wall I just put in this weekend. I found two old barns the owners wanted gone. I built almost my entire shop with recycled materials. As far as the weathered wood a lot of people will use a mixture of bleach and water. They wet it down with the mixture then wash it off. While they wash it they also use a broom to help clean the dirt off.
