Recognize This Hammer?

We cleaned out a family barn & I got this, among other old tools I first thought it was a meat tenderizer but someone at a hardware store thought it was some kind of masonry hammer.

Anyone recognize this?

Probably best to chip ice first then tenderize the meat lest you risk a serious bout of food poisoning.
