hey, I would love for you guys to give me some recomandations for my garage, here's the dimensions 24' long x 16' wide x 8'6'' hight. I was thinking about using fluorescent lighting like these and puting about 8 of them, to much, celling not high enough for it, let me know.....

Is the existing ceiling already sheet-rocked? Insulated?

As for the fixture you pictured, is it a two-tube or a four-tube fixture? T-8 or T-12, or T-5?

The only way to know if it is enough or not enough light would be to do the math on how many tubes times the lumens divided by square feet of floor, so some data is missing for providing you useful answers.

Oh, and welcome to Garage Journal.

ok sorry for the lack of info, the garage is brand new. the interior is not finish but will be soon and will be all insulated. i was thinking 2-tubefixture with t5 54w 46'' 400k cool white(5000lumen)

24'*16'=384' sqaure feet

16 tube (8 fixtures) x 5000
____________________________ = 208 lumen/square feet

384 sqaure feet

from what i have red in the other post 150 lumen/square feet should be ideal...

more input??
