Recomend a Creeper

Time to retire my old creaper.It wasnt very good even when it was new.Like to spend under $400 and needs to be low profile , but would like one that would lift my whole body higher if needed

+1 on the Bone. If I had to do it over again I'd probably go with the Bone-ster, which is a lighter, less bulky version.

If you don't have a smooth floor or find yourself using it outside, the Rough Rider might be a good choice.

I never found one that I liked. I am only 6'1", but they were all too short. If I just tried to sit down on it, either it would tip up because I was too far to the rear, or I would have to sit in the middle and then scoot down so that my head would not be hanging over the end. Getting up was worse; I would usually just wear knee pads and roll off sideways. I wound up taking one and building an extension that I could rest my head on.

Once I had my MaxJax, I bought one that tilts up so that I am semi-reclining. That is the only kind that I have seen that would allow you to raise up some. Sears sells one like that, but I bought mine through the internet.

I still use my dad's old creeper from 40 years ago. Works fine, no need to replace.. It would work a lot better if my 6pack abs were not so well protected by the belly though.

I got a safety-yellow Lisle 93032 with 4" urethane casters- about $85 on amazon. I like it a lot better than the old wooden sleds with steel wheels. There's a lower-profile version too but I like the smooth ride when I take it out on the driveway.

Another +1 for the Bone. Glides nicely over the hanger floor due to nice large casters.

I have a Lisle low profile Creeper and have been very happy with it, picked it up at O'Reilly on sale. Made in the USA, light and smooth rolling.

Im 6'2" and 240#. Reading the reviews , all the guys over 200# said the HF drug the ground in the middle. That aint good !!!!!! Northern shows a Bone for like $90.

^^^This. I'm 6'4" and 230 and it works for me. Did a bit of research and appears to be well-liked by those who use it. You can buy it on Amazon for $60.

I got mine on sell at NAPA several years ago. It drug the ground in the middle. Maybe that is why it was on sail? I just moved all of the rollers closer toward the middle. No more sagging!! Problem solved!!

I picked up the lisle low profile creeper a few months ago and love it. For 65 bucks it's a great deal and is a million times better then the cheaper ones. Lots of good reviews on the bone creepers also but they are a little more expensive.

I like the HF low creeper, but weight has a lot to do with their success. I am at 200... on a good day, and it works well for me. I even like the flex it gives when these old bones plop down on it. But when my brother uses it, wow, It looks like he is trying to balance on a kids floatie in a river of snakes.. He is 270+.

I'm looking too. I've gone through 3 HF creepers which means I could have forked over the same cash for one quality unit. The HF will all break in one or more corners eventually. The Bones unit looks nice. I've had the metal frame units but they all failed eventually too. The Bendpak has taken a lot of the ground work away but sometimes just rolling under a vehicle is quicker and easier that clearing the lift.

This is the one my wife bought for me, years ago. Don't think it's being made anymore, but there are similar ones from Omega and ATD that are still sold. I use it more for a seat than a creeper, and it's great to have both in one unit.

x2, & they can be had for less with the occasional coupon. more comfy than the old school wooden one that was replaced.

$200 for the SnapOn heavy duty. I suspect it will last the rest of my life. The wheels are big enough it will run over an extension cord if you need it to. It is kind of heavy but I leave it on the floor anyway.

I'm 6'8" 260 # and the bonester works for occasional use.

I only had it bottom out when I sat directly in the middle. It is long enough for my torso, I never felt comfortable with my head on a creeper (but again, I'm only an occasional user)

I like the Omega 91400 - pretty sure that is my next one.

Dale Adams all the way. I've used 'The Bone' for a few years now and love it. Very low profile with large casters that can float over stupid floor gaps.

I bought this one a couple of years ago and I love it. Soft and cushy for my bad back and it doubles as a rolling seat. I will tell you don't stand on the headrest with it in creeper mode though. I popped a wheel off. I welded it back on though and havent had trouble since.

I spent $460 on mine - it was epoxy paint for the floor. My creeper that was a gift from my new wife 34 years ago is wall art. I haven't used a creeper in years. Nice clean smooth floor, don't feel the need.

Got one at NAPA . I was in buying a dewalt 3/8 cordless impact and he threw in the creeper.I love sidewalk sales. Free burgers for wife and I also.

My HF molded one lasted me 6-12 months with light use (I forget exactly when I bought it). Was sagging pretty bad and eventually cracked down the side and lost a few wheels. Won't be getting another again.
I've got a Craftsman creeper/chair, but it's too tall to use as a creeper most of the time. Definitely going to look into the bone.
