Hi guys,

In search for at least a 5 or 6 steps, any input would be appreciated.

I've looked at Hailo but I wanted to know if you guys would advise any particular specification to look for.
I know I've been looking for a telescopic ladder but...I'm now a bit freaking out since I've read some negative feedbacks.
I think it might be wiser to stick to the good old stepladder :p

Thanks again

I have a Cosco 17' World's Greatest and love the thing. It's sturdy and takes the place of the step and extension ladders I'd otherwise need, plus you can put it on stairs or other non-level surfaces.

I have a 17' Costco too, love it, and a 13' Keller that I love. Use them both all the time, but to be honest it can be a pain in the *** sometimes having to keep pulling the pins to extend and collapse them, but that's my only "gripe". I love the ladders, they're not heavy, they're strong as hell, and they work great. I've had both extended all the way to get up on the roof and neither was shaky or wobbly, and didn't give me any worries that they'd bend at the pivots.

Don't cheap out ! Buy one rated for Class 1. Forget 5', 6' minimum. I also like ones with fiberglass side rails.

I have had good luck with Werner ladders.

Werner has come out with a new ladder called the podium ladder. Check it out! May be my next ladder purchase even though I don't need another one. I like the design though.

Poor Grandpa...out for a walk, wasn't watching where he was going, and straight up he went. Then he figured he'd just jam out for a bit.

I have a Werner fiberglass 6' ladder and a Little Giant Select Step that extends out to 10 feet.

The Werner is nice and light and easy to move around, but there are a bunch of tasks (like doing the bamboo flooring on my ceiling) where I needed something significantly taller. The Little Giant step ladder fills that need nicely, though it's quite a bit heavier. Also, the Little Giant can be pushed flush against a high wall by extending the step-side higher than the brace side, which gets me into some tricky spots like the inside of a gable-end wall.
