My PS100 finally pooped out a while back. I procrastinated dealing with it, and now I need a DA. Took it apart, and it appears the "feathering valve" just blew out it's guts, nowhere to be found. Looks like Snapon no longer supports, but I'll call on Monday to see if they have anything NOS for it. But assuming it's finished, what is out there? I no longer have need to justify Snapon prices, but don't want to go to HF either. Everything I look at has HORIBLE reviews, and frankly Snapon isn't at all deserving of the price from what I've seen on the web. But that's obviously skewed since pissed off people with broken tools are much more likely to post that satisfied customers. So what do you guys have that just generally works and works well?

At my job, we have 12 D/As running constantly a minimum of 4 days a week. In the order of preference:

Dynabrade by a mile until we went to vacuum sanding system
Clayton (once we went to vacuum sanders)
3M (saves on our cost over Clayton with user replaceable motors)

Never tried Hutchins, but they seem to be recommended fairly often.

+1 on the Dynabrade. We run the **** out of ours at work and they keep on ticking.

Great suggestions. Wow have DAs changed. In my day, they basically all looked like my PS100, head and handle. The Dynabrade, Clayton, and 3M all look good (and not like I'm used to). Dynabrade seems the least expensive, and sounds like it will easily do what I will need.

Much thanks for the quick suggestions!
