I've burned up a few grinders, and I imagine that if your burning them up, like me, you are using the wrong application, and need a bigger grinder. Maybe a 9"?

But its hard to give up the "easy to hold on to" smaller versions. And they get into tighter locations.

I sure like the looks of the New Bosch's, but have not seen a toggle version one, available in the US, only in Germany.

I've burned up a couple of Milwaukee's, a Makita, and once (maybe twice?)-had a HF version, all I did was grip the paddle wheel, and it burned up in my hands before I could touch anything. Piece of **** if you ask me.

I do have a Black & Decker that I've had for years, but the bearings are going out, and I should change them before its too late. Actually a nice unit.

Those deals posted above sure look like nice bargains though.

Although I don't think anyone should use a grinder with anything except a paddle wheel. Any type of grinder that is. I saw a guy get hurt horribly by such a tool.

When you let go, it should stop. If not, someone is getting hurt, or something is getting damaged.

This one looks good;

Or buy this one, and run a 4 1/2" wheel-last forever then;

The thing that kills me, the German Version's sure seem to have a bunch more options!!

Hey Monte---What have yee to say???

I have three orange ones from HF because I like having different discs available without changing.
I change out the grease in them to synthetic and then use them hard cleaning axle housings and such.
They are cheap, but work and that is all I care about.
May be just me, but I really dislike the paddle switches.

Shop the 'net for refurb/reman units of your favorite brand. I bought a Craftsman Professional for about 75% off the price of a new one !

The Bosch are great, as are Milwaukee and DEWALT. I've used all three in an industrial setting for many years. That said ... the one to buy is a Metabo. Nothing better.
