Have the need for an electric or cordless impact gun, for when I'm near power, but not near a compressor. Can anyone recommend a couple decent options? 1/2" drive or less.

I have two, first a HF $35 monster corded, big, heavy, 1/2, works, but is a little noisy, second is a Craftsman C3 cordless, and it also works and tends to be the go to for size.
I also have a couple 1/4, a Bosch PS40, but see it as strictly for small fasteners.

I love my craftsman c3. Grab a second battery. It doesn't have bone shattering torque like some of the more expensive ones, but for everything I've used it for on my Cherokee and trans am, it is sufficient. Granted I don't work all day everyday with it or make my money with it. If that's the case with you, I'd move up to something better, obviously. I've got an air impact for anything the c3 can't handle.

I've had really good luck with this Milwaukee, haven't run into anything that's stopped it, even after doing suspension and axle nuts on older rusty 4x4 stuff.

Like some others above, I have been really happy with my Cman C3 impact. I strongly recommend buying a lithium battery for it though. It probably wouldn't cut it for professional use, but for a DIYer it works great.

I have an old Dewalt and Makita..Been work horses for years!! Dewalt is great for Popeye arms..

I have an older model very similar to that one. As with all Milwaukee stuff it is scary fast when not under load, but it works well, and is more powerful than the numbers would indicate. I love the thing.
