Under a car...swearing
Re: Recommend a impact gun

All things considered i like the HF earthquake. A real powerhouse that can hang with the big boys. Nice and quiet...only down fall is they are heavy.

He said under $150.You might get lucky and get a used timax for that.

yep, I have a feeling though that a lot of people on here end up paying more for a better tool than they were originally planning though :)

$229 isn't that far off considering it's the best! :rocker:

For home use, I have a full set of air tools, mostly HF Earthquake, but corded and cordless impacts are handy for those times you don't want to pump up the compressor, so I just added a Craftsman C3 1/2.

For air especially at home I can't see spending more than the HF EarthQuake.

The IR Titanium Q series are a quieter and lighter gun than the Earthquake. That being said, at least for the 1/2", the Earthquake is more powerful. But in reality power in the 3/8" gun really isn't that important (the better guns are all about the same) as you are using it to quickly tear apart smaller things. You want the power in the 1/2" gun. Just something to think about.

$68+tax w/ the 20% coupon, you might as well give it a shot though if you've got one locally.

Used mg325 typically can be found used for $150...mg725 typically can be found used for $200. I have them both and love them. The 325 fits in tight places and is very versatile while the 725 is pure power.

FYI these are snap on guns...mg325 is 3/8 and mg725 is 1/2

under 150, how abut 75 for the harbor freight earthquake? great gun for the price, pretty dang powerful and metal i still have mine but it was replaced by a mg325. for above that price i'd say mg325. you can punch out the muffler. it might not add much power but it seems like it does haha.

Yea I sold the Air Cat ones as a Mac distributor they seemed to hold up pretty good unless they were in a truck shop or somewhere that ran very high PSI they don't hold up to that very well. The best of the best is the IR2115. If it were me I would save up a little longer and buy the best.

I got the Klutch 3/8" for Christmas little loud but light and seems very snappy. I haven't got to use it yet but for the price....can't beat it.
