We use #33 at work, all colors, lot of guys on the shop floor joke about how many colors they stash in their tool box at work and home.

I agree on the 33+ and 88

I use the cheap stuff for attaching wires to fish tapes. or labeling wires.

btw I don't tape my wire nuts. I find that hackish
Agreed, if you do it right, all the bare wire should be inside the nut...and stay there.

Do you really want to trust your life (or getting shocked) to unknown tape? Only use 33 so i don't have to think.

3M Super 33 and Super 88 both have a shelf life of 5 years, and never get sticky on me even after sitting in a hot car for hours. If you use a roll a year, the $5ish per roll shouldn't bother you much if it solves a problem.

I think both of these have exceeded the five year shelf life. The cans are cool, I wonder how old they are ?
