As the above post mentioned, your best bet to stay around this price range new would be the HD boxes. These are the cheapest I have seen to compare with the Craftsman's at a lower price range. In some cases you may find some decent Craftsman boxes for a homeowner at Sears Outlet. Some Sears have been putting ball bearing boxes on clearance that are older models. One locally has a 6 drawer black ball bearing for $163. Still you can get a better deal at HD if you can find the one listed above. Several members have gotten decent boxes for a homeowner at HD lately.
If you scour Craigslist often, you're bound to find a used box on there. Last year I bought a USA made Craftsman bottom, intermediate, and top box for $100. It has the friction guides, but that sucker is solid.
