Will be staining some wicker furniture this afternoon with this stain http://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/wood-care/ultimate-wood-stain and need advice on a cheap (Harbor Freight is close by) gun that would work. I have an 80 gallon compressor and HVLP fittings, but can run any fitting I want (have dozens).

Other stores I have nearby:

Lowes
Home Depot
Tractor Supply
Atwoods
True Value
Auto Zone
Advance Auto Parts
O'Reillys

What's cheap? When it comes to spray guns there's usually a quality barrier in price, plenty of companies willing to make the visually similar but cast Chinese guns that spray horribly - then there's a price gap, then there's some ok and decent guns.

IMO a "cheap" gun would be a good deal on a european or european spec/forged parts gun such as http://www.amazon.com/Astro-Pneumatic-Tool-EUROHV105-EuroPro/dp/B00407QGZC/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1407938469&sr=8-7&keywords=astro+euro which is normally over $100.
But I guess it's all your own reference for what's cheap.

Edit:
I see you need it today, the purple HF isn't terrible.

Should I get the HVLP or regular purple???

Not sure what the differences are, can you post some model #s? The purple one I know of is usually $11.99 or so with coupons (almost always available, at any time) and as with the other opinions here I think is really good for the money. Not a SATA or Iwata certainly, but as good as some $60 ones I've tried.
