Recommend me a Filter/Regulator/Lubricator...

Hello all,

My search skills are currently lacking so I apologize for asking if it's come up a million times..

I recently bought a new compressor, nothing big just a 20 gallon belt drive 2 hp compressor. I need some recommendations on a FRL or just the Regulator/Filter whichever is fine. I was looking at this model:

But I'm not sure if it's worth the $$, any suggestions would be great.

I use that oiler. It feels a little cheap, but I've never had any issues with it. My other bits are all Motor Guard. I have the oiler hooked up on a quick disconnect so that I can pop it off and put my clean hose on if I need.

I've been happy with them, but they're a bit more expensive than the ARO stuff.

I'm going to use my standard caution against using an oilier on a air system. It will fill your delivery system with oil and probably not get to the tool you intend to lube with it. An oilier should be dedicated to the tool and located within a few feet of the tool.

I am not going to recommend a brand but I second the thought of not using a lubricator. If you are using air tools, a drop of oil in the inlet of the tool before using is all you need.

Do not mount the filter and reg to the compressor, the filter goes inline before the regulator to remove **** before it messes up the regulator. You need some footage of pipe before the filter to let the air cool down so the filter can catch it.

The reason i do not make a brand recommendation is I work for one of the mfgs. I do not want to make this a commercial.
