is there a more professional version than the ones available from the box stores?
What do y'all use?

What is your budget? What style hand pump, lever pump, pneumatic, battery?

Most manufactures make several lines. The ones you find in big box stores and the heavy duty line that are used by trade professionals. I personally use the same Lincoln my grandfather used and it still works. But like everyone else they have shipped production out of the us. But they still make better that average products

I use a Dewalt 20v. It's pretty awesome.
I got a crazy deal on it from my brother in law for $50.
Probably wouldn't have one if I had to pay full price.

Wilton is a good brand that has been around for years.

Totally agree with this. I use enough grease at work (steel mill) that I have to fill my grease gun at least once a week. If you're using your grease gun daily, get a cordless grease gun. DeWalt, Milwaukee, etc are all great guns and nearly every millwright at our company owns a cordless. I have an 8 year old Bijur (Canadian made) that was one of the first cordless grease guns on the market. It's still going strong!

Cordless doesn't make much sense for me, as I don't use it everyday.

I went with the Lincoln 1133 with a quick disconnect and a holder.

I'm hoping that I'll be able to find a place on my truck to mount the holder so the gun will always be around when I need it.

Free shipping, but I still spent a few $$

Thanks to all for your input

The Lincoln and Alemite are recommended. It's probably just personal preference, but I like the pistol grip with flex hose so you can pump with one hand and hold it on the fitting with the other hand.

I don't know if I'd mount a grease gun on the side of my truck. For one thing some ******* would just steal it while you're in the Home Depot buying Sheetrock or something and it would also leak melted grease all over the truck and ground from sitting in the sun or hot garage/barn. I have one mounted on the wall in my shop with a 5 gallon bucket under it to catch the drips. My suction gun and funnels also reside in the bucket.

I bought a Macnaught manual grease gun after reading posts here. It is an Australian company. It is unclear if they make them in Australia or China/India. It seems like a step up from the cheap Chinese/Indian grease guns. I could not find a Made in the USA manual grease gun at the time. Macnaughtusa.com is the American website.

I just finished off one cartridge of grease after two plus years. I don't use a grease gun enough for a cordless model.
