I have a barrel grip Bosch that is my go to saw. I also have a cordless top handle Bosch which I use for small jobs away from my shop

That will likely be close to my setup, except I'm already heavily into M12 tools, so my cordless will probably be red. Unless I lose my mind and get a fourth battery platform.

Another vote for Bosch. I just picked up the Bosch 12v barrel grip, and have a 15 year old DeWalt that was the top of their line when I bought it. The blade changing on the Bosch is so much simpler than the DeWalt. I also have a Festool Carvex that I picked up used, but I haven't broken it out yet. The Carvex and DeWalt are both top handle, I haven't used the Bosch (my first barrel grip) enough yet to know whether I prefer top or barrel.

The JS57 series here in the US looks to be the same as the GST 160 series over in the UK, while the JS47 look like the GST 150.

I'm going to use the Bosch primarily for quick cuts (plugging in is a hassle in my shop), and will dedicate the DeWalt to metal work and such, while reserving the Festool everything else.

I have a DeWalt 18v cordless and a Porter-Cable corded. Both very good saws.

My Bosch 1590 may be the last jig saw I ever need to buy. I wore out a B&D in a year and needed a replacement. Bought a Bosch 1587. Kept it only one night as I hated the blade change method. Took it back to Lowes and got the 1590 and it's been excellent.

Anther vote for Bosch for corded jigsaws.

I just got a Bosch JS572 on sale at amazon to replace my last Bosch jigsaw which I was awesome but suffered a premature demise (not its fault). So far every bit as good or better than the last one and the double rollers on the blade are neat too.

I have had the top-of-the-line at the time Makita 4351FCT for 10-11 years and it’s been amazing still my go to for corded. I had a top end Bosch about 6 years that didn’t cut 90 degrees to the material (bottom of the blade was always angled forward) so I got rid of it. I also have the cordless 18v Bosch which is my cordless go-to and it’s great, but the 10+ year old Makita is my favorite.

I gotta sing with the choir. Bosch jigsaws are awesome. I prefer barrel grip, but I'm sure top handle is just fine.
