I'm in need of a new right angle die grinder. My matco one walked off. Does anyone have one they would recommend?

Electric or pneumatic? I know nothing about the air ones, but if you plan on using it much, I'd spring for one of the Fein or Metabos. I have a Bosch slim, a DeWalt, and a Makita, but my Fein is leaps and bounds better....

I live in Europe, but I love my adjustable speed Makita 1400w angle grinder. If you want adjustable speed, this is my top pick.

Here is one similar:

I might be calling them the wrong thing. This is similar to the one I had.

Can't tell you the brand but 20 some odd years ago I bought one at Big Lots. Probably the same basic thing Harbor freight would sell. I wasn't expecting it to be a long term tool, but I haven't had to replace it yet.

Depends on how often you would use it I guess. Sometimes Mine gets used a lot, sometimes it sits in the cabinet for a while.

No problems with it so far.

EDIT: Yup, Astro would be a good choice.

If you are interested I have an old Matco that came with kit I don't use anymore willing to let go for 50+shipping pm me if interested I only have used it lightly I use my newer Cornwell mostly

But to answer your question Astro or ingersoll are very good aswell spair and I personally like the newer Cornwell die grinders (the black and blue ones) I believe same as the Matco pictured above

And a side note Matco has but one get one on die grinders for straight and right angle maybe call them and see if promo is on now

Never buy a Harbor Freight. I had one that self destructed. My current one is a MAC Tools. Also know as an Ingersoll Rand. Works awesome, can't complain.

I was in the same boat as you. I considered IR, Astro Pneumatic, HF and my use is occasionally to remove rust, paint, cleaning wheel hubs, rotors and brake drums. I went with Astro Pneumatic 202 as it comes with both the straight grinder and angle grinder. The casing is plastic (composite) so we'll see how long it lasts. I had it for about 6 months now and use it at least twice per month.

I have a Astro aluminum die grinder (T20AH?), that must be 10 years old now. The logo is almost worn off the body its used and banged up so much, still going strong.

Used to use it 100-200 times a day at my last manufacturing job.
