Im looking for a powered ratchet. both an air and a battery one. Im looking for 1/4 in drive. I want the air for the torque and the battery one for convenience. This will be for professional use so only the best!!!! I would also consider 3/8 for both but i only want 1/4 for the size, it needs to be slim and sleek for getting in engine bays. It doesn't need to be the 'compact' models either.

FIRE AWAY!!!!

I have the mini 1/4" from Cornwell, I love it and have used the **** out of it for about 4 years so far.

I've been using the Snap On 14v lithium ion 3/8" cordless ratchet for several months now and love it. It comes with either the 1/4" or 3/8" FAR style heads. I am a small engine mechanic and it fits into some pretty tight spots. It comes with two batteries and one charger. It only takes about a half hour to recharge and they last. I would like to try out the Ingersol Rand version but can attest the SO is a good one.

Matco Infinium 1/4" drive cordless. I've owned the Snap-on and Milwaukee and this is the best I have used.

I had the Cornwell cordless 1/4" ratchet and liked it a lot but it started to act up after a while needing a couple rebuilds due to the head splitting. I currently have Snap On 3/8 & 1/4 cordless ratchets. Top notch quality and very powerful.

I don't think you can beat an SP Air impact ratchet, 55 ft-lbs, made in Japan, very small, and relatively quiet. I use the 3/8 version at work every day. It's a lot faster than most air ratchets and no bashed knuckles.

For air the HF Earthquake Impacting ratchet is an unbelievable bargain for 1/2 the price of the S-P mini version. The S-P is great and I've got one but it's twice the cost of the HF and not as powerful. the HF is bigger which is it's downside.

For cordless I've got the Milwaukee. Milwaukee has just introduced an M18 right angle impact wrench which I've got on order that looks to be the bomb. 60 ft-lb of torque which is more than enough for most jobs.
