Recommendation on Racedeck Flooring

So after 12+ years my epoxy floor is starting to get really tired looking. I am thinking about replacing it with Racedeck, The only issue is that my garage has quite a bit of cabinets, shelving etc. Should I really run the Racedeck under all the equipment. Or can I terminate it at the cabinet front? Is there a trim piece that I can use for a clean look?

Open to suggestions. Especially want to hear from people who ended up not running it underneath and regret it. I would rather NOT move all this stuff but if I have to I will...

Here are some photos to give you an idea of what I am dealing with (the garage was in the middle of reorganizing in these photos so was a little messy...it's clean now).

What color are you doing? I ran mineunderneath pretty much everything, but if the cabinets are tough to move, you could run it up quite tight if you did it right. Near my walls, I painted black on the floor, and ran a black tile perimeter. Even though it is about 3" away from the wall, it blends in seamlessly unless you are looking for it.

Personally, if its shelving and movable stuff, I would probably just move it, but if its cabinets that are never going to move, I don't see the problem in leaving them in place.

PS. whats your celing height there? I've been contemplating a car lift similar to yours, not sure if I'd have the height though.

Great info thanks! I do not have a color selected. The installer I am going to use offers design services. Would install myself but I barely have time to even drive my cars...

As far as ceiling height I am at 12'8". It's high enough that I can raise the lift all the way with my cars. If I put the SUV on it I can't quite get it to the full height. You could go much lower and still have the clearance you need to get into the car below.

I have cabinets and a welding bench far heavier than what you have and I recommend putting the tiles underneath. if you don’t, you’ll always look at it and wonder why you just didn’t do it that way from the beginning. I used a floor jack to lift and roll the 1000 pound welding bench and the two 1200 pound cabinets. The lift is pretty easy to raise one end at a time. The garage is a bit less messy than in the pic.

Thanks for the info! Check out this thread, (maybe you have already) One thing that I do know, is that I would do another black boarder, regardless of what pattern I had, I really think it cleans it up.
