Recommendations for cheap or free residential electrical diagram software?

I guess the title says it all. My shop needs a bunch of new electrical, and I need to draw up a plan that will get reviewed as part of the permit/inspection process. Software might make this process easier, not sure.

I found out I can legally wire my own garage here in my city (requires homeowner's simplified test, open book, over 2011 NEC), and that's probably what I'll end up doing.

If you have a drawing of the garage....then make a copy and just draw in it by hand.....

You don't need software.. You just need to show where each outlet or light is going.

I didn't even have an electrical plan for my garage....
