Recommendations for intercom system

I am looking for recommendations for an intercom system to reach from my house to my workshop. Shop is about 50 feet away.

The wife is tired of walking out to get me for dinner and such. Power for both buildings come from the same meter if that is any help. The shop is a metal building and the house is stone.

Is there anything that piggybacks a phone line? The house phone does extend to the shop.

Any suggestions?

Get a multi handset cordless phone system. I have a v-tech brand, most of these have intercom systems, and they are cheap and Work great. Just push the button in the house and the phone in the shop rings, or vice-versa.
