Recommendations for slim (thin) lighting fixtures?

Hi Everyone,

I need to get some lights in a new pole building. Area is roughly 24x26' with 12' clear height.

Where it gets tricky is the overhead door is 10' wide 11' high and when the door is open there's less than 2" between the door and the ceiling.

I'd like to have good even light throughout the room and am trying to figure out if I need to find slim fixtures to fit above the open door or if I'd be better off using lighting around the door and then aiming the lights.

Any recommendations?

SlimLed by Liteline. Only a half inch thick. Recessed into drywall and only extends about 1/8" beyond flush.

Philips SlimSurface. .0625 thick. Surface mount. Square or round. Mounts to an electrical box.

Sengled Sigalux Light Disk. Slightly Bowl shaped. About 1/2 inch below ceiling surface. Mounts to electical box.

It's possible to get fairly even lighting with fixtures on both sides of the garage door (standard mounted = not aimed).

Another option is these linkable bulb/fixture things that are live on both ends and couldn't possibly pass the UL finger test but as long as you install the "dust cap" you'll probably be OK (just don't forget) -

most "edge lit" LED fixtures are very thin, usually less than 2". They can be a little pricey though compared to most other "garage" type fixtures.

Can you recess the lights into the ceiling?

I was thinking the same thing, but if he can't recess the electrical box it'll exceed 2" unless there is a 1" deep box out there.
