Recommended heat guns?

Can anyone please recommend a QUALITY dual temperature or a variable temperature heat gun that is made in the States. I heard that the Black & Deckers are **** because they die within hours.

EDIT: I think they are made in China anyways.

I have the harborfreight special, It cost like $7 when I got it on sale, it's been used repetedly dropped and stepped on adn keeps on working

I hate to admit it, but I've got an HF special. Two temps, works fine. They have a kit with different tips for a few $$ more.

And yes, most others are made on the PRC too.

I have a Milwaukee, 2 temps. Got it used, works fine for a heat gun. Check ebay?

Bought a Clarke for $20 and used it for 3 days straight to tear up a floor, no problems.

These things are NOT CHEAP. I have a Milwaukee that is 10 or 12 years old and at times it has run for days.

Kind of depends on what your going to use it for and how long your going to use it to justify a $150 heat gun when a $20 gun will do the same job.

I have the Harbor Freight cheapie also and use the hell out of it, never had a problem.

I've had a Makita heat gun for 5-6 years and it works great; no problems!
It was a refurbished unit from one of their repair center storefronts.
