I was thinking about buying some reconditioned tools (i.e. miter saw and nailer) from Amazon. The tools will be for occasional use, just around the house.

Has anybody purchased reconditioned tools thru Amazon? - Any issues/problems/concerns. The reports I have read on line all look so favorable - seems like a good way to save some $$$ in these difficult times.

Thanks,
Mordi

I bought a Makita angle grinder, a Makita polisher & a Dewalt reciprocating saw @ Toolking.com and I'm happy with the items. All arrived in like new condition. So far I have not purchased any recon tools from amazon but would do so if I find good deals.

I've purchased a reconditioned Sawzall, Milwaukee right angle drill and Bosch Bulldog hammerdrill and maybe others. All came in excellent condition. Between the three I probably saved $400 from new. The CPO website is another good source, but they also sell tools on Amazon and usually they're cheaper.
