Anybody have experience with big Sky or reconditioned Hitachi, or at least with this compressor?
I've got several Hitachi nail guns that work great, so I'm hoping this will be a good replacement for my old dewalt trim compressor that finally died..

$95 seems like a decent deal plus $15 ground shipping to my neck of the woods..

No, that doesn't make me feel better, lol!

I actually looked again and I found some not so great reviews online for it... How has it worked for you?

It's very similar to DeWalt twin-tank version that I bought reconditioned from Northern Tools for $129 which I'm very happy with. Oil-lubricated and plenty of power for pnuematic nailers . . . . .including roofing nailer with 3 1/4" nails, along with roofing coil nailer. Regular trim nailer (like 15, 16 or 18 gauge nails) will be a piece of cake and you'll have to regulate the pressure down to 90 psi. My DeWalt did everything I needed on roof of house, even with 100 ft of 3/8" hose.

For that kind of money . . . ie only $95 . . . and the Hitachi brand, I'd say you can't go too wrong.

I'd buy that Hitachi every day & Sunday instead of any brand pancake compressor.

Big Sky is local to me so I've used them a couple times. The recon stuff is clearly used, but no abused and everything has functioned right out of the box.

If you select store pickup they sometimes also mail you the item... I have a couple doubles. Not sure if it's on the website but they had Hitachi branded air hoses last time I was there. Good quality couplers and a very flexible hose. Great for trim work. The 25 ft was around $10, which is what just a set of decent couplers will run
