Hi all,

I have a record no. 6 vice, made in England, however it has different mounting holes to a lot of no. 6's that I see on here. Does anyone know when Record changed there design? Might help me date my vice.

I think this one belongs to PCO6

Thanks in advance

Its one of the last made here, I think Irwin had already bought them out when the mounting holes went to slots, the China made ones are basically the same as what you have. Still a good vice but not like a 50's one.

Nice vice! What kind of screws does it have? Slotted? That might help date it.

Also notice the lack of the "lip" in the slide casting above the spindle. My Paramo #6 is a 1969 and it has that lip.
