Record Vise Information

I just bought a vise for a new shop vise & restoration project. I know nothing about vises, what can you tell me? It is a Record no.4. Somewhere there has to be a listing of what each number stands for?

Numbers refer to the size.
No4 is a 4 1/2" jaw width I believe.
They went from 00 to 8.

Record Vice's

The thing I find strangely amusing is that although the area around the hole has a lot of hammer marks the anvil portion itself has very few.....
