During my usual ReStore visit this week I came across some Craftsman screwdrivers that I've never seen before. Nothing too special, they're the clear acetate handle drivers that everyone has kicking around. However the lettering is different, red for slotted and blue for Philips. Does anyone else have these drivers?

Could it be that someone just used paint or a marker or whatnot on what iirc is normally white lettering and wiped off the excess leaving it only in the lettering?

I have had a couple of the red label CM screwdrivers, so I don't think anyone colored them them with a marker.

I bought some like that except they were red where yours are blue. The came out if a 99¢ bin that you had to sort through to find a "set".

I’ve never seen a craftsman flat screwdriver without the red panels on the handles. I’m so used to grabbing screwdrivers based on handle colors that those would make me crazy.

The only thing is I have to check my set of craftsman screwdrivers I never even thought of the color handle thing as all I use mine for are prybars for the straight slot and punches on the Phillips head ones.
