red clay on floor

What is the best way to get red clay off the floor before coating? I pressure washed my new garage floor for over an hour last night and still have red clay on the floor. I plan on using an epoxy coating in the next week or two and want to make sure if I use a solvent / cleaner it does not give me a problem.

Thanks for the help,
Dan

Muriatic/hydrochloric acid should take it off. A co-worker of mine had red clay stain on his driveway and that is what the home builder used to remove it. It will also remove rust stains.

dan,

Any prep prior to paint (grinding, shot blasting or an acid wash) will clean it good enough. Our red clay is a powerfull stain and should be listed as a concrete and brick dye.
