Red Craftsman paint

I recently bought a used Craftsman tool box. It has quite a few scratches and I would like to repaint it in matching red paint to my other Craftsman tool boxes. Is there a comparable paint? The whole box doesn't need painted but I would like it to match. Thx. Bear

Rustoleum Sunrise Red is CLOSE but not exact.

Ya Rustoleum Sunrise Red for off the shelf is what I used the last time around matched my roller cabinet pretty good.

There once was a Regal Red too just a shade darker maybe but been a while since I seen it stocked anywhere

I've blended Rustoleum Safety Red and Regal Red about 50:50 and gotten very close to the 1980s-1990s Craftsman Red, including on a box very similar to yours.

Sears used to sell Craftsman red and gray paint in spray cans, mail order only. Dad refinished a couple of his boxes years ago and it was a good match. Didn't see it on the website today but just did a quick search.

Which is closer if I can’t match ? Spraying in can… regal or sunrise?

I have painted vises with both of those Rustoleum colors. There is not a great deal of difference but you’ll find the sunrise red a brighter shade of red.

Thanks. Just repainted a craftsman box with sunshine red and debating if worth it to go over with regal now. Here’s og color latched compared to the sunshine. Don’t want a bunch of layers of paint on so that’s what stopping me from possibly spraying regal over.
