Red paint for a MAC toolbox?

MAC is a very special shade of red. It has just a hint of orange in it. Don't try to match it with something off the shelf. Get a custom spray can mixed up. If you have a drawer that still has some nice paint on it, you can take that drawer in to have it matched. If you have a MAC socket tray, you can use that. If you have a local store that specializes in automotive paint and body shop supplies, call them up on the phone and ask them what they can do for you. If you're going to use a spray gun, have them mix up a quart at the correct viscosity for spraying through a spray gun.
see that is the problem, somebody painted it before I got it and its nor very good paint either. From what people have said the box is a MB1500. 98sierra I don't have a dealer in my area. Is there a paint that will match SO red then, I don't mind as long as its close.

they werent suppose to be.
both mac & matco had some serious paint fading issues back in the mid to late 80's / early 90's
i saw more than one very dissatisfied toolbox owner that was given a brand new set of boxes.
rustoleum sunrise red is a close match for SO.
If you wanna paint it exactly what it was if its worth it to you you can haul it down to any serious paint and body shop and they can scan the color and mix you a batch that's identical.
And I have no idea about the SO no paint.. Part number for the Mac red is 040784 red Stanley mechanics.
