Reddy heater problem .

Hello .... Very strange problem with my 60,000 btu reddy heater . Kept shutting off when started . I replaced the photo cell . NOW starts up perfectly and runs til I set the top cover back in place ???? Any ideas ?? Please help .... Thank You !!

Have you tried perhaps cleaning the fuel filter, checking the line for leaks? Maybe check the other end of the photocell harness to make sure none of those connections are loose? If you know the model number you should be able to look up the manual and see what it says.

Fixed one for a guy earlier this winter with same problem. Took the fuel and air lines off and blew them out. Then adjusted the pump pressure using an old vacuum/pressure gauge. Worked great after that. You most likely have something in one of your lines.

This plus new nozzle if it's more than a few years old.

I've had a bug build a dirt nest in the check/pressure valve of the pump that created too much air pressure - check that too.
