I have a 170k btu reddy heater. It will run fine but when you shut it down it starts smoking. Not only out the front of the “torpedo” but also the back where the air filter goes. Not really sure what’s going on but it smokes up my whole shop. I have checked the fuel and air filters, and the photocell.
Thanks,

Just if anyone has this problem, my heater was really dirty inside. I replaced the air filter, the fuel lines, nozzle, fuel filter, and cleaned out everything I could see. This took care of the smoking problem, and the smell of the diesel fuel. Now it literally has no smell.
