I see you have accomplished a lot but still more to do. After you painted the roof, any remaining leaks?
How many dumpsters have you filled at this time?
I still have three leaks, but after pulling the insulation I can see where it is. I think on this property it is 4 dumpsters. There are 4 properties we have been cleaning up.

Fiberglass tape and Henry 289 white roof sealant. Seems to work well.

Tempted to leave it like this.... On to the electrical, then covering the walls. Going to continue using the unfinished barn board. I like the idea of being able to hang stuff anywhere I want and the nail holes just add character.

On to fixing the holes in the floor. This is after I "drilled" and vacuumed the dirt out. This is where my Dad was going to break out a larger piece of the floor to get his dump truck in.

Nice progress Jim. Do you plan to work out of this space and in what capacity? Hard to believe the transformation that has happened.

I am an Internal Auditor and work fully remote for a company in Maryland. And yes that is an 8' Husky workbench. The office isn't done, but is Useable. Putting in a wood Laminate to hopefully keep the floor a little warmer.

Looks great, have you thought of using an electric radiant floor heating mat to keep floor chill down. I know you have the, but some solar panels probably could do the floor. Not sure what the costs are these days.

If this was the house I would think about it. I was quoted $25k for solar panels, but I probably want to redo the metal roof before adding those. I am putting a pad unter the laminate and will have ceiling fan to push the heat back down. The budget was for indoor ourdoor carpet, so the laminate is a step up.....LOL

The wood for the ceiling finally arrived..... yes it is overkill compared to drywall, I didn't want metal and I got a deal from a local mill. Kiln dried rough cut shiplap.

Mice are such a pain, I put down 5 packs of poison in my storage shed and all 5 have been chewed on.
If you decide to take on these little bastards, please share your process and results.

I used poison in my attached garage once. Took forever to find that very dead, VERY stinky little *******. I now use traps. Tomcat Press'n Set.

I like this stuff from True Value. It has seeds in it. Most dead ones I find out in the open. With the snow, I see tracks and follow to thier hole and toss a block in. Very rarely do I see a hole reopend after the poison. Yes I am going after them outside as well..... I do not have cats or dogs that could get into the blocks.

Hello from the other side of the Bay State! Nice progress! We also made the move from MD to MA, looking to start building later this year or early next. Thanks for bringing us along so far, looking forward to what comes next.

at a lumber cost of about $0.85 SQFT for the Rough cut for walls, and $1.50 SQFT for the shiplap for the ceiling. Definately the right choice. It will look more like a garage when I get the tools, and workbenches in.

This should be bright enough.....
OK I did not Nerd these out the electrician picked them but metalux 96" Striplight. 8400 Lumen, 78.4 watts, CCT 4000 or Soft white. Look good to me. Getting 2 more on the garge door side of the ceiling.
