A person locally has a 106N for sale, but I have found very little info about the "N" series. I've gathered that they might be later year models, but are they generally comparable to the older Reed offerings? Any rough guesses as to what the market rate is on them?

I picked up a Reed 204 and a 105 1/2 earlier this year from the same seller (for $160 together!), and they have got to be the neatest tools (to me) that I own. I'd rather not try to buy this one if they were more cheaply made and/or imported, especially for the price. This one says Earie, PA, but not "Made in". I presumed it was still made in Earie, but I've seen some companies mark the place of company headquarters only to find "Made in China/India/Etc" hidden somewhere else.

Thanks in advance!

Don’t worry about that one. It’s most definitely made in the USA. Toward the end of their run, Reed had them made by Columbian and marked Reed.

So still made by Reed at that point sounds like. You'd say the quality is similar to earlier Reeds, too? I was thinking I read that they stopped using the adjustable nut on some thread about the R models. I tried digging through other threads, but thought others might like seeing information about the N series as well, if available.
