That's likely late 1930's or early 1940's with that ball nose. Check the condition of the jaw teeth as they are not removable. That vise does look to be in good shape! I love Reeds and would have no problem paying $100 plus for that vise.
There is one locally for $180. Good overall condition and jaws look good minus about a pellet size piece of the bottom edge of static jaw that is missing.
I have a nice 205R that I probably paid too much for at an estate sale ($200.00) but I was there and wanted it as a usable vise, not something to flip. Then, just this week I had someone give me a Reed 4CA monster of a vise. 155 pounds of huge. Don't worry about paying a little more for one, just keep looking, and eventually it will "all even out".

Many vise connoisseur rate Reed vises specially the older ones as one of the top vise brands and that is for a good reason. While $125 is not a 'you ****' price for the 4" Rseriea Reed it is still pretty reasonable price and you did good.
I unfortunately have to sell off my Father's and uncle's carpentry & machinist tools which include a Reed 204T vise. Still works except for the swivel. Located in NYC for local inspection & pickup.
